Maajh, Fifth Mehla:

AMimRq bwxI hir hir qyrI ]
|
a(n)mrith baanee har har thaeree ||
|
The Word of Your Bani, Lord, is Ambrosial Nectar.

suix suix hovY prm giq myrI ]
|
sun sun hovai param gath maeree ||
|
Hearing it again and again, I am elevated to the supreme heights.
|

jalan bujhee seethal hoe manooaa sathigur kaa dharasan paaeae jeeo ||1||
|
The burning within me has been extinguished, and my mind has been cooled and soothed, by the Blessed Vision of the True Guru. ||1||

sookh bhaeiaa dhukh dhoor paraanaa ||

Happiness is obtained, and sorrow runs far away,

when the Saints chant the Lord's Name.

jal thhal neer bharae sar subhar birathhaa koe n jaaeae jeeo ||2||
|
The sea, the dry land, and the lakes are filled with the Water of the Lord's Name; no place is left empty. ||2||

dhaeiaa dhhaaree thin sirajanehaarae ||
|
The Creator has showered His Kindness;
|
|

jeea ja(n)th sagalae prathipaarae ||
|
He cherishes and nurtures all beings and creatures.

miharavaan kirapaal dhaeiaalaa sagalae thripath aghaaeae jeeo ||3||
|
He is Merciful, Kind and Compassionate. All are satisfied and fulfilled through Him. ||3||

van thrin thribhavan keethon hariaa ||
|
The woods, the meadows and the three worlds are rendered green.

karanehaar khin bheethar kariaa ||

The Doer of all did this in an instant.
